Taking action in slow motion over Wells

EDITOR, The Tribune.

After two weeks of not commenting on the saga involving Renward Wells signing a Letter Of Intent (LOI) without proper authority, Prime Minister (PM) Perry Christie now says that he will investigate the circumstances.

And after two weeks of asking Wells to resign, for which he hasn’t, the PM now says that Wells conscience should be his guide.

What’s the rush Mr PM?

Do you know that if you had waited another two weeks to start your investigation, the Bahamian people would have not have been surprised?

After all, you are “late again Christie”.

Well, Mr PM, thank you for handling this situation very well indeed.

I am sure that Bahamians are proud of your timely execution of this matter and they are praising your lethargic leadership and mastery in delay tactics in all sectors of society.

I am sure that the model you have used will be an example for many Bahamians to follow now and in the upcoming generations ie if they are mimicking ineffectual non decisive leadership.

On a positive note, the mocking and disrespect you are showing the Bahamian people might be rewarded with your third win in 2017.

Why change the way how Bahamians have always been handled, when you can still be rewarded at the end of the day.

We all know how Bahamians have amnesia when they are promised jobs and there are truckloads of wines and spirits that are given away freely in the lead up to a general election.

I guess there is more to be written on this chapter because as the PM said, he has begun probing and investigating.

If it takes another year, sir, for your investigation to be complete, no worries, this would be in line with past performance. No need to break your enduring legacy.
What a national shame.
