A MAN denied an allegation in Magistrate’s Court yesterday of “exposing himself” to tourists on a popular beach over the weekend.

Kevin Reid, 37, of Faith Avenue made his initial court appearance before Magistrate Samuel McKinney facing a single charge of indecent exposure, contrary to section 212 (12), Chapter 84 of the Penal Code.

It is alleged that he, on August 16, while at Paradise Island, did wilfully and indecently expose himself while in the vicinity of Cabbage Beach.

Police on Paradise Island received reports that led them to Cabbage Beach where they found a man with his private parts exposed. It is alleged that the man made sexual gestures to women tourists.

Reid pleaded not guilty to the charge and was granted $500 with a suretor.

The offence carries a fine of $150 for a conviction.

He returns to Magistrates Court No 1 for trial on September 9.

Four witnesses are expected to testify according to court dockets.
