Man dies after being electrocuted

A 33-year-old man was killed after being electrocuted at a Lucaya resort on Saturday, Grand Bahama police reported.

The victim, who was an employee at the resort, was at work around 9am when the incident happened. Investigations are continuing into the matter, which has been classified as a sudden death.

• In other crime news, Abaco police have arrested three men accused of credit fraud.

According to reports, police received information shortly before 2pm on Friday that three men were at a business establishment making a large transaction by credit card.

Officers responded and allegedly found the men in possession of a credit card that did not belong to any of them. The men, who are ages 23 and 42, were arrested and taken into custody.

It was also discovered that the 42-year-old had an outstanding warrant of arrest for credit fraud and was wanted by police in New Providence. The 23-year-old man also had an outstanding warrant of arrest in connection with a traffic matter in New Providence.

The men are expected to be charged in the Magistrate’s Court this week.
