Fast food giant to sponsor Bahamas Bowl

Atlanta-based fast food giant, Popeyes, will be the official sponsor of The Bahamas Bowl football game.

The game will be played on December 24 in Nassau at the Thomas A. Robinson Stadium, and feature teams from Conference USA and the Mid-American Conference.

“Popeyes is honoured to partner with the Bahamas Bowl to bring this historic bowl game to college football fans everywhere,” Hector Munoz, vice-president of marketing for Popeyes, said.

“Like college football, Popeyes enjoys a rich tradition and passionate fans, and we look forward to a great game and a lot of fun in the Bahamas.”

Lea Miller, Executive Director of the Popeyes Bahamas Bowl, said: “We appreciate the tremendous support of Popeyes for the Bahamas Bowl, and we look forward to a great event in the Bahamas.”

The Bahamas Bowl follows the HBCUX Classic Game, which will be held on September 12-14 at the Thomas A. Robinson Stadium.

In that event, Central State University (CSU) and the Texas Southern University (TSU) - two historically black colleges - will square off in the first college football game ever held in The Bahamas.
