BANKERS LEAGUE
BAF Financial, CIBC and Scotiabank were all winners as the Bankers League continued its regular season at the Baillou Hills Sporting Complex over the weekend.
Here’s a summary of the three matches played:
BAF Financial 18,
Colina 9
Marvin Wood went 2-for-4 with a double, two RBI and two runs scored, Tyrone Burrows was 2-for-3 with two RBI and two runs scored and Jayson Clarke was 2-for-4 with a RBI and two runs scored in the win.
Burrows was also the winning pitcher and Clint Paul suffered the loss.
For the losers, Gordon Mackey was a perfect 3-for-3 with a run scored, Tory Wilkerson was 2-for-3 with a run scored, Jeff Randall was 2-for-4 with two RBI and two runs scored and Stephen Duncombe was 2-for-4 with two runs scored.
CIBC 16, Fidelity 5
Randy Rodgers had a perfect 4-for-4 day at the plate with a home run, four RBI and two runs scored to lead the winners. Antone Rolle was 3-for-4 with a double, two RBI and a run scored, Moses Johnson helped his own cause going 2-for-4 with a double, two RBI and two runs scored and Angelo Burrows was 3-for-5 with three RBI and a run scored. Moses was the winning pitcher and Spurgeon Johnson picked up the loss.
Alec Rolle was 2-for-3 with a home run, two RBI and two runs scored for the losers, while Neville McDonald assisted by going 2-for-3 with a run scored and Crestwell Gardiner was 2-for-3.
Scotiabank 28, RBC 8
Shane Albury went 3-for-4 with two home runs, four RBI and four runs to lead Scotiabank to victory. Ryan Johnson had a perfect 3-for-3 day with two doubles, three RBI and two runs, Hector Rolle was 3-for-5 with three RBI and four runs and Lionel Haven was 3-for-5 with a double, three RBI and three runs scored.
Albury also got the win on the mound, while Julius Seymour was tagged with the loss. James Clarke had a perfect 2-for-2 day with a double, one RBI and two runs scored and Seymour was 2-for-3 with three RBI in a losing effort.
