IN their continuing support of the Grand Bahama Children’s Home, Lucaya International School (LIS) is hosting its annual Turkey Trot fundraiser on Saturday at 8am, starting at Banana Bay restaurant in Freeport.

The Turkey Trot is a fun run and walk event offering prizes for age group winners - adults will win a turkey and the children win movie tickets.

The school hopes again make a substantial donation to the Grand Bahama Children’s Home to help with their annual costs.

Sarah Kirkby, of the Home’s executive committee, said: “LIS donates drinks and food to us annually, they visit and give us toys each year, their older students mentor our children and their moms are organising a Carnival this year too. We cannot say thank you enough for all they do. They teach their children daily the importance of giving back and helping take care of their community.”
