Crisis Centre hosts party

THE Bahamas Crisis Centre held its annual children’s Christmas party last Wednesday at St Matthew’s Anglican Parish Hall on Shirley and Church Streets.

An estimated 210 children accompanied by their parents, who are clients of the centre, were treated to a night of festivities, complete with a traditional Christmas meal, games, toys and prizes.

The Crisis Centre thanked its many donors for the contributions which made the evening possible.

Leading up to the party, the Crisis Centre held three toy drives at the Mall at Marathon on November 29, December 6 and December 13 – in an effort to ensure that each child attending the party would receive a gift.

The Bahamas Crisis Centre is a non-profit, ideologically independent organisation primarily pledged to respond to the needs of all victims of sexual, physical and psychological abuse.
