Crime under Christie

EDITOR, The Tribune.

I having a growing concern realising that crime against public personalities seem to trail Governments led by the current prime minister.

I have a vague recollection that there was a reported incident where building supplies were removed from his residence while under reconstruction; that was followed by a reported shooting incident at one of the houses in the renovated “Christie Compound”.

Then a firearm was found hidden in the back yard of the residence of Mr Christie’s Deputy, Cynthia “Mother” Pratt.

This term in office has seen even more serious crime surrounding some members of Christie’s Government including the shooting of a police aide to the Deputy Prime Minister; an armed robbery at the Deputy’s private residence and now a theft at the prime minister’s private home while under armed police guard on a 24/7 basis.

I do not recall a single crime connected reported to the residence of the first PLP Prime Minister, Sir Lynden Pindling, or any of his Deputies. Sir Lynden held the office of prime minister for 26 years.

And, I do not recall any reported crimes against the former FNM Prime Minister, Hubert Ingraham, or any of his Deputies during his 15 years in office.
