CARMICHAEL Primary School’s nominees for student of the year awards were Kevin Hanna, Chrisana Morrison, Destiny Bridgewater, Sara Mills, D’ondrea Flowers and Anyya Joseph.
Destiny was the winner.
Sheila Williams, grandmother of Kevin Hanna, said: “ I believe the children are our future. The hard word and determination paid off.
“These are the stars of Carmichael Primary and the nation. Special thanks to the teachers of Carmichael primary school who work so hard and are so patient with the kids, the principal Earl Smith, Vice President Alice Phillips, senior mistresses, Glendena Mills and Holly Dean, the parents, grandparents, and their churches that help raise them up.
“May God continue to bless you all as you continue on your life’s journey, may you students continue to flourish from strength to strength and wish you the best for the future.”
