ROTARY International’s chief representative at the United Nations in New York will be the guest speaker at an event at the British Colonial Hilton on February 21 under the patronage of Governor General Sir Arthur Foulkes.
The event is being held to raise funds for the Model United Nations Sessions scheduled for April at the College of The Bahamas.
Both events are being supported by the Rotary Clubs of the Bahamas in conjunction with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Ed Futa is a past general secretary of Rotary International and a former chief operating officer of the prestigious Rotary Foundation, which supports a variety of worthwhile causes - including global campaigns to eradicate polio and approach challenges such as poverty, illiteracy and malnutrition.
