THE newest EarlyAct club in the country celebrated its charter night at Xavier’s Lower School.

Among the guests was Ed Futa, a past Rotary International General Secretary.

Xavier’s EarlyAct was sponsored by the Rotary Club of West Nassau.

EarlyAct is a school-wide service club for elementary students from aged five to 13.

It aims to make students more aware of their community and the world.

EarlyAct also involves students in character-building activities and prepares them for leadership roles, helping them identify and carry out projects which benefit their school, local and global communities.

During his visit to Nassau, Mr Futa, who is Dean of Representatives to the United Nations, will also be the main speaker at a fundraising event being held at the Hilton on Friday evening for the Bahamas Model United Nations youth programme.
