Sting Junkanoo group joins Freeport parade

THE STING Junkanoo group out of the capital, headed by Gary ‘Super’ Johnson, made yet another grand appearance in the second city during the New Years Day Junkanoo parade in downtown Freeport, with Dyson Knight performing his latest hit “Gambling”.

Known as the “fun” group, after the parade Sting treated the children of west Grand Bahama to a party at the Blue Marlin Cove in Bootle Bay, with toys provided by Bahamas Party Flashers & Glow and the ‘Help Us Help Dem’ Committee, with an adult party at the TI bar in West End, where hundreds were served free Bahamian dishes and handed flashing novelties provided by Bahamas Party Flashers & Glow.

The events, which were both well attended, are aimed at encouraging the community to do more to assist others, especially those who are less fortunate.

Help Us, Help Dem, Bahamas Party Flashers and The Sting, are planning more events in 2014 and want members of the public to support them.
