Police are investigating what is believed to be a drowning in a canal in Grand Bahama.
Reports are that shortly after 10:00am Tuesday, police received information of a body floating in the canal in the West End area.
Officers responded and the body of a male, clad in a navy, white and blue striped shirt, white short pants, brown leather belt and with bare feet was removed from the canal. The male is believed to be an American citizen.
A post mortem will be performed to determine the exact cause of death.
Police are investigating.
