National team named for CFU Under-17 Qualifier

A 19-member team has been selected to represent the Bahamas in the upcoming Caribbean Football Union Under-17 Qualifier 2014 at the Roscow R L Davies Soccer Field July 23-27.

Led by head coach Dion Godet, assistant coaches Nesley Jean, Harvey Mullings and goalkeeper coach Jason Minnis, the team has been in training for the past several months. The delegation will be led by Mrs Anya James as head of delegation and team manager. 

The 2014 Qualifier has been divided into five groups each comprising four teams (20 teams in total) in the first round with two teams given a bye to the final round in Haiti.

The winner of each group and the best 2nd place team will join Haiti and Jamaica for the final round.
