10,000 condoms donated to Bahamas AIDS Foundation

The Bahamas AIDS Foundation has received a donation of 10,000 condoms from Builders Mall; Tile King, FYP, The Paint Centre, AC Depot and Liquid Courage.

As a long-standing supporter of HIV/AIDS campaigns in The Bahamas, Builders Mall and its CEO, Mark Roberts, has contributed both donations and in service to help broaden awareness across the country.

This new pledge of 10,000 condoms is made in honor of the company’s 2014 commitment to the Getting to Zero campaign.

“This campaign is very dear to me and it is my very hope that we can significantly minimise the exposure of HIV/AIDS in the Bahamas,” explained Roberts.

“Playing its part in the Getting to Zero campaign, Builders Mall has committed to bringing awareness to HIV/AIDS by constantly showing up to support events, programs, etc and this year we are awarding the community with prizes valuing over $100,000,” said Roberts.

Starting in January, Builders Mall has made it easy for patrons to win prizes while supporting HIV/AIDS in The Bahamas.

Anyone holding a 2014 Builders Mall calendar, with its unique number, is automatically eligible to win prizes such as cash, RT tickets to Florida, cases of wine/beer, and gift cards.

Every Friday, a unique calendar number is published in The Tribune in addition to that week’s prize. Calendars can still be collected by visiting the FYP showroom at 69 Wulff Road.

The campaign will end in the last week in November 2014.

“This is only the first step.” said Mr Roberts, “We’ve moved silently before, however, Builders Mall has always been and will always be a community centric business.

“We live to serve the great people of The Bahamas every second of every day!”
