Scotia executives discuss industry future with Pinder

Scotiabank executives have discussed the Bahamian financial services industry’s future with Ryan Pinder, minister of financial services.

The discussion was led by Chris Hodgson, Scotiabank’s group head, global wealth and insurance, and included Sean Albert, Scotiabank (Bahamas) managing director.

Derek Pattison, Scotiabank’s head of wealth management in the Bahamas, said: “Our senior executive visit allowed us to showcase the amazing opportunities to grow our wealth businesses in the Bahamas and the client-friendly regulatory framework that supports this potential.

“With Scotiabank’s significant banking and wealth management businesses in the Caribbean, Latin America and Canada, Scotiatrust Bahamas and the Scotia Private Client Group Nassau Centre are perfectly positioned to offer international financial solutions to Scotiabank’s ever-growing global customer base.”

Mr Hodgson’s lunch with Mr Pinder was part of an intense itinerary on his visit to the Bahamas. He met with the teams at Scotiatrust and Scotia Private Client Group during the one-day trip.
