MEN'S 400M FINAL: Latoy Williams fifth, Chris Brown out through illness

A fine effort saw Latoy Williams finish fifth in the Commonwealth Games men's 400m final in Glasgow, Scotland - after Chris Brown had pulled out due to illness.

Williams clocked 45.63 in a race which saw Grenada's Kirani James take the gold in 44.24, Wayde Van Niekerk of South Africa claim the silver in 44.68 and Lalonde Gordon land bronze in 44.78.

Chris Brown withdrew from the race due to a stomach virus.
