Project ahead of construction goal

An eastern New Providence real estate development is “slightly ahead of schedule” on construction of its condominiums, with roof trusses in place before the roof due date.

“We are very pleased to say that construction is slightly ahead of schedule on Phase 1, the first 12 units of The Anchorage,” said Palm Cay’s sales and marketing director, Zack Bonczek. “The team at Northwest Builders has worked hard, and we have been blessed with incredible weather, with few lost days due to rain. This puts us in an excellent position for window installation and interior finishes when the rainy season starts.”

The Anchorage is Palm Cay’s first condominium offering. With pre-construction prices starting in the mid $300,000’s, condo sales have been brisk, with reservations outpacing supply in the first two phases of the five-phase project that features 50 residences in all. Site preparations have already begun for Phase II construction.

“Those buyers who could not get into Phase I or Phase II will have the opportunity for the next phase. Because of demand, we are accelerating the release of Phase 3 and expect to announce a release date any day,” Mr Bonczek said. “Meantime, those who managed to get in in the first two phases are pleased at the rate of construction.”

While The Anchorage is the first condo offering, the nearly 70-acre community has experienced strong sales in its other products.

About 80 per cent of the single family residential lots are sold, and sales of its garden and beachfront town homes have seen a “rush” in interest and transactions in the past few months.

“The product is right,” said Mr Bonczek. “We have built not just a development but a community with an active full-service marina, 24-hour security and a lifestyle that encourages you to be outside, and enjoy the people who call Palm Cay home.

“There is always something to do, or you can sit on the beach and do nothing, feeling like you are on vacation. Look at the reality - all the infrastructure is in, streets, lighting, utilities. We have swimming pools, lighted tennis courts, family playground and, of course, a beautiful beach - 1,200 feet of a broad, white sand beach that makes you feel like you are a world away on a Family Island, and yet schools, shops, churches are right down the street.”
