A 36-year-old woman is in police custody after she allegedly stabbed her husband in the back during a fight Wednesday evening.
It happened around 6pm in Mount Pleasant Village. According to police reports, the victim was at home when he got into an altercation with his wife resulting in the woman stabbing her husband once in the back.
He was taken to hospital where he is listed in stable condition.
A few hours later police were called to the scene of another stabbing, this time off of Baillou Hill Road.
According to reports, around 11pm the victim was at John Street when a man known to him stabbed him multiple times with a broken bottle. He was rushed to hospital where he is listed in serious but stable condition.
A short while later, police arrested a 38-year-old man in connection with this stabbing.
Investigations into both matters continue.
