The Bahamas Department of Meteorology has issued a severe weather warning from 1.30 pm Tuesday until 3.30pm.
A severe weather warning is in effect for the northwest Bahamas including Andros, New Providence, Eleuthera, the Berry Islands, Bimini, Grand Bahama and Abaco.
The Met Dept said that clusters of strong thunderstorms will affect the mentioned islands.
These thunderstorms will be strong to severe at time and may generate strong gusty winds, hail, possible water spouts or tornadic activity.
Boaters are warned to stay in harbour during the adverse weather conditions.
