THE Financial League has now completed its first and second round of playoffs. In first round competition, the BTC Night Hawks defeated Deloitte & Touche 3-1 in their best-of-five series. In the second round of the series, the Strike Force won over the BTC Night Hawks 4-2, while the Fidelity Bulldogs won 4-3 over Leno Corporate Services.

The Fidelity Bulldogs are now slated to take on the Strike Force in a final best of 7 series with three games on Wednesday and if necessary, game four is set for Thursday. The games start at 7pm.

THE New Providence Oldtimers Softball Association continued its regular season action over the weekend with the following results posted at the Archdeacon William Thompson Softball Park at the Southern Recreation Grounds:

Sigma Crusaders 16, BTC Vibes 9 - Winning pitcher was Tyrone Pratt. The losing pitcher was Thomas Sears.

The player of the game was Andy ‘Smudge’ Ford, who went 3-for-5 with three hits, including a home run, two (2) RBI and three (3) runs.

Crusaders 15, Cabinet World 5: The winning pitcher was Shon Higgs. The losing pitcher was Shawn Greenslade.

The player of the game was Shon Higgs, who also went 3-for-3 offensively with three hits, three (3) RBI and two (2) runs.

Blue Waters Truckers 14, Hardy XO 7: The winning pitcher was Kermit Mackey. The losing pitcher was Ivan Hanna.?

The player of the game was Ronald Seymour, who had four (4) hits with a home run, three (3) RBI and three (3) runs.

Da Boyz 15, Proper Care Sharks 14: The winning pitcher was Alvin Lightbourne. The losing pitcher was Foster Dorsett.?

The player of the game was Dwayne Pratt, who had four (4) hits with a home run, five (5) RBI and three (3) runs. ?

The NPOTSA is slated to be back in action this weekend with games on Saturday and Sunday at Southern Recreation Grounds.?
