BURNING marlin sculptures by artist Bobby Little will be lit as the highlight of the Bimini Sands Resort and Marina Beach Bash bonfire celebrations later this month.
The 30-foot wire sculptures have been brought over from Fort Lauderdale for the event, from June 26 to 29, and will be lit on the Friday and Saturday nights.
The family-friendly event in South Bimini will feature a fishing competition and scuba diving and will be headlined by renowned marine artist and conservation advocate Guy Harvey and Florida fishing authority and International Game Fishing Association’s (IGFA) Bouncer Smith.
Online tournament registration to bid on half and full-day charters with Capt Smith is still open and auction proceeds will go to the IGFA and Guy Harvey Ocean Foundation to benefit conservation efforts in Bimini and its surrounding waters.
