THE winners of Starmaker 5 will be announced during the show’s finale, airing live on June 26 at 8pm from the British Colonial Hilton, and will feature actress Taylour Paige, who stars as Ahsha Hayes on VH1’s “Hit The Floor”.

Paige is a relative newcomer to the Hollywood acting scene, but is no stranger to the stage, having been a cheerleader for the LA Lakers and a prot�g� of famed actress and dancer, Debbie Allen.

BTC Starmaker 5 Executive Producer Carol Barnett said Paige was chosen to be the guest speaker because her show “Hit The Floor” is extremely popular among young Bahamians. She said the VH-1 star will undoubtedly have a positive impact on the finalists.

“We are excited to have Taylour as the featured speaker at this year’s Starmaker finale. She is young, talented and a rising star, and we believe that she will be a ray of hope for young Bahamians far and wide. She is an excellent example to prove that anything is achievable if you work hard at it. She is also relatively new to fame and I think her advice and words of encouragement will be invaluable to young Bahamians,” said Ms Barnett.

Tickets for the live finale can be purchased for $10 from any of the Starmaker 5 finalists by visiting their official Starmaker 5 Facebook pages. Viewers can also watch the finale on ZNS.

One senior and one junior winner will be chosen to be the face of BTC in addition to winning a $10,000 cash prize, a BTC endorsement contract, an appearance in a film produced by the internationally renowned comedian and radio personality Russ Par, and a number of other prizes. The winners will also get the chance to take part in a tour of various of US cities.

The six finalists, four chosen by the judges and two “wild card” contestants chosen via viewer text votes and social media contests, will be unveiled during the show’s finale.

Viewers can still vote for their favourite contestant by texting the contestant’s number to STAR (7827.) Voting ends on June 25 at 12am. Each text message costs $0.25, and participants will be entered to win daily prize giveaways, including a grand prize of a Samsung S5.

The final episode of Starmaker 5 will air on June 19 at 8pm on ZNS. The reunion show will air on July 3.
