What is Cursillo?

A Cursillo servant community is a group of Christian leaders (servants) formed into an effective team to carry out the Cursillo method of prayer, study and apostolic action.

The main functions of a Cursillo Movement is the ‘fourth day’. Group members study together, work together, pray together and support each other in their work in the various environments. Monthly meetings are recommended for support, encouragement, feedback on apostolic action and evaluation.
The servant community is organised into committees with each committee headed by a member of the secretariat.

Suggested committees are: weekend preparation, three-day weekend, fourth day, communications and publications, and any other committee as determined by the need of the movement.
Commitment to the idea of being a ‘servant leader’ of ‘walking the talk’ aims to motivate all believers; to exposed them to the concepts of the Cursillo servant community and be ‘the salt of the Earth’ in a world that so desperately needs preservation.
