GRAND Bahama Police are investigating a possible arson in connection with a house fire that occurred on Wednesday in the Lucaya area.

According to reports, a 40-year-old man was taken into police custody for questioning.

At about 11am, Police Fire Services received a report of a fire at a residence at Blenny Way and East Sunrise Highway.

When firemen arrived at the scene, the three-bedroom structure was engulfed in flames.

When The Tribune arrived, the fire had already been extinguished. The house was completely gutted.

A number of persons had gathered at the residence to offer assistance and support to the family.

The Tribune had called for a report on the fire, but it was never sent on Wednesday.
