CI Gibson Rattlers celebrate GSSSA, Hugh Campbell titles

AFTER a dominant year on the hardwood, CI Gibson rewarded their Rattlers senior boys’ basketball programme with a day of celebration for their achievements this season.

The Rattlers, led by head coach Kevin Johnson, were recognised for pulling off the double feat of winning the 2014 Government Secondary Schools Sports Association and Hugh Campbell Invitational Championship titles.

The Rattlers were hosted to a special assembly at the school’s gymnasium followed by a motorcade through the streets of the capital.

CI Gibson won the GSSSA title after completing a two-game sweep of the Dame Doris Johnson Mystic Marlins, and returned just over a week later to defeat the Mystic Marlins once again in an all-New Providence Hugh Campbell final.

In both instances, point guard Shakwon Lewis was named the most valuable player.
