Congrats to BSAA championship teams

THE Bahamas Scholastic Athletic Association and its executives extended congratulations to its 2013-14 championship teams.

Primary Girls - Carlton E Francis Primary School, coached by Mr Sherman Smith and Mrs “Pack and Stack” Henfield

Primary Boys - Carlton E Francis Primary School, coached by Mr Sherman Smith and Mrs “Pack and Stack” Henfield.

Carlton E Francis defeated St Andrew’s School 22-21 to win the title and the series 2-1. Kirkwood Sweeting led the way for Carlton Francis with eight points and Sammy D led the way for St Andrew’s with 14 points.

Junior Girls - Freedom Baptist Academy, coached by Tabitha Major

Junior Boys - Akhepran International Academy, coached by Yves “Hot Head” Pierre. Akhpran defeated Mt Carmel Preparatory Academy 31-26 to win the junior boys’ championship 2-1. Joshua Brennen led the way for Akhepran with 21 points and Deonte Tinker led Mt Carmel with 14 points.

Senior Girls - Teleos Christian School, coached by Pastor Dave Adams

Senior Boys - Noble Preparatory Academy, coached by Mr Geno Bullard. Noble Prep defeated Teleos Christian 42-39 in game three to win the senior boys’ championship. Tenero Ferguson led the way for Noble with 16 points and Bertram Minnis led all scorers with 25 points.
