Ambassador meets Trade Centre chief

The Bahamian Ambassador to the United Nations (UN) Office and other international organisations in Geneva, Rhoda M. Jackson, has paid a courtesy call on Arancha Gonzalez, executive director of the International Trade Centre (ITC).

The ITC provides technical support to help sustainable economic development in developing countries, through trade and international business development.

During the brief courtesy call, the Ambassador and the executive director discussed areas of possible cooperation on projects to assist small Bahamian entrepreneurs in the export of craft products, and on opportunities for increased public awareness and support for the Bahamas’ World Trade Organization (WTO) accession process.
