Building closer links with businesses in Grand Bahama

A BUSINESS Outlook session has recently been held in Grand Bahama.

The goal of the event was to gain a better understanding of the investments and developments under way on the island.

Executives of Scotiabank’s Corporate and Commercial Banking Centre visited the island for the Grand Bahama Business Outlook event and to host a cocktail reception afterwards.

In a statement, the bank said: “Scotiabank (Bahamas) Limited over the years has forged a great relationship with the organisers and is a long-time partner of the Grand Bahama Business Outlook.

“The Corporate and Commercial Banking Centre Management team’s goal was to get a better understanding of the kinds of investments and development that were presently under way on the island while learning of new and potential growth opportunities as well as to take a moment to thank clients for their business.

“The events took place at the Grand Lucayan Resort. It was an evening of fine food, eclectic music and good conversation.”

In attendance were Dr Michael Darville, Jim Wilson, vice-president of Corporate and Commercial Banking, Greg Walker, Alexandra Medina, Eric Albury (Freeport), Lasonya Missick (branch manager, Freeport), James Poole (Scotia Private Client Group) and Leah Davis, senior manager marketing and public relations.
