Domino's raises $50,000 for Special Olympics

DOMINO’S pizza recently partnered with the Bahamas Special Olympics to raise $50,000 for their annual training programme as well as their attendance in the Special Olympics World Summer Games in Los Angeles, California, in 2015.

Domino’s Pizza donated 5,000 coupon cards to Special Olympics in an effort to raise $50,000 for the charity. One card entitles the purchaser to $75 worth of exclusive offers and specials from Domino’s. The cards will be available for sale at $10 to the general public but Special Olympics is also asking corporate citizens to purchase cards as gifts/incentives for staff or customers.

All proceeds will go toward Special Olympics’ year-round training programme for the athletes as well as their attendance at the Summer World Games in 2015.

Special Olympics is a global organisation that uses sports as a catalyst to change society’s perception and treatment of persons with intellectual disabilities.

The Board of Directors of Special Olympics Bahamas said they were happy to announce a partnership with Domino’s Pizza.

Organisations that would like to support this fund raising programme are asked to purchase cards for their employees or customers, or by allowing them to be sold at their businesses.
