Summer camp will be held in July this year. We’ll be running from June 30 to July 4 and then again two weeks later from July 14 to July 18. Cost is $125 per week. Payment must be made in order to reserve a spot. Campers come from 9am to noon. We learn about taking care of animals, walk the adoption dogs, and have hands-on time with the puppies and kittens. Bring a drink and snack, and a leash if you have one (the solid kind, not the retractable!). The ponies, donkeys, chickens, ducks, and hamster also appreciate snacks of fruits and vegetables or bread.

New Providence Cycling Association. - New Providence Cycling Association staged a road race on Sunday. The race started and finished in front of The Caves on West Bay Street at 7:30am. It was a great day for a bike race - no sun, overcast, with a cool breeze and clear/dry streets. The cyclists set off on this 62-mile trek with an easy 20 to 22mph pace, passing down West Bay Street and picking up pace as they entered JFK Drive. The pace picked up more as the cyclists entered Lyford Cay, and the first of numerous break away attemps were made. Breaks were made by Tracey Sweeting, R J Colebrook, Chris Curry, Anthony Biggie Colebrook, Jay Major, Mark Holowesko, and Tim Weiss, but the pacing of the pelton made it difficult. As the pace picked up in the last two miles, more attempted breakaways started. However, strong pacing by Liam Holowesko, Chris Farivia, Mark Holowesko, and Tim Weiss held the top eight together until the final sprint, with Colebrook, Holowesko, Major, Sweeting and Nottage all racing for the line at 30+ mph in a closely contested finish.

Results: 1 Anthony Biggie Colebrook, 2h 43m 11s; 2 Jay Major, 2h 43m 12s; 3 Liam Holowesko 2h 43m 15s; 4 Jave Russell, 2h 43m 16s; 5 Justin Minnis, 2h 43m 17s; 6 Tracey Sweeting 2h 43m 18s; 7 Jamie Nottage 2h 43m 18s; 8 Roy Colebrook Jr 2h 43m 20s; 9 Mark Holowesko 2h 43m 21sec; 10 Chris Farivia 2h 43m 23s; 11 Deangelo Sturrup 2h 44m; 12 Chris Curry 2h 44m 02s; 13 Trevor Strachan 2h 46m 10s; 14 Rowshan Jones 2h 48m; 15 Tim Weiss; 16 Shawn Fox; 17 Richard Horton; 18 Gregory Michelie.
