BISHOP SIMEON Hall yesterday expressed regret that someone would “hurt, defame and attack him” by fabricating an “incident” and posting it on social media.
Bishop Hall’s comments came after several screen shots of alleged conversations between him and a woman, who is not his wife, were posted on Facebook on Tuesday night and widely circulated.
The conversations, which were explicit and sexual in content, began in July 2013 and ended in the middle of last month.
When contacted by The Tribune Bishop Hall did not deny or confirm that it was him in the screen shots but said: “I am sinful but not stupid, some people are sinful and stupid.” He also said his lawyer is investigating the incident.
Bishop Hall, the former Pastor of the New Covenant Baptist Church and former Christian Council president, later issued a statement that said “those who seek to destroy me will fail.”
“First let me say to the members of the body of Christ in particular, and to all right thinking Bahamians everywhere in general, how sad I am that I have attracted a calculated, venomous, blameless attack,” the statement said.
“It is unfortunate that some people take no thought in seeking to hurt, defame and embarrass others. I take comfort that ‘by the time a lie is half-way around the Bahamas the truth is just putting on its shoes.’
Again my family stands with me as they have for forty-three years and I pray God have mercy on the evil person who concocted and started this unfortunate incident.”
Last month, someone purporting to be Bishop Neil Ellis set up a fake Facebook account to solicit money.
Ellis, who is the senior pastor at Mount Tabour, later cautioned users not to send money to the fraudsters.
The user of the fake profile with the Bishop’s name and picture attempted to solicit money for an orphanage.

Whether this story is true or false. Like I've said before in numerous post: If you're in an inappropriate relationship with ANY so call Religious Leaders, I encourage you to EXPOSE THEM!!! Christianity should not be used as a pyramid money making scheme, it's a personal inward relationship, a choice of life ANYONE CHOOSE to live not a racket used to take advantage of the uninformed, poor and/or uneducated. DON'T TALK IT IF YOU CAN'T WALK IT. It definitely should not be some political threat with a selfish, greedy agenda, while stopping the progress of a Progressive DEMOCRATIC nation. We live in an information age, many hypocritical dinosaurs reject change simply because they have already 'mastered' the status quo, will 'die' embarrassingly hard!

In conclusion, to be 'sinful' and not stupid is an oxymoron Dr. Hall, because not knowing the second or hour of his 'coming', wanting your long white robe and your mansion not made by hands, but still being sinful is... NO sin CANNOT enter there remember??? ANYWAY no one's perfect, If this is true, this will go away quicker than Bishop Randy in the church office. This man is well connected... It's amazing that before being exposed, these 'religious leaders' constantly referred to themselves as "The body of Christ" not having 'spot or wrinkle' however, when they get caught-up or exposed they then claims to be a sinner just like those Marijuana smokers, Drunks, Predatory Priest, Pedophile Bishops, Gays, Adulterers, Fornicators and Politicians? whom they was given 'divine authority' on earth to condemn every Sunday morning AFTER they had collected 'The Building Fund'...

It is unfortunate that the bishop finds himself in a position where his credibility is being questioned and his image being tarnished. However after reading some of the screenshots i personally feel like it "may" be a set up because it just seems to corny lol. But if it is not, hopefully he will learn that we live in the age of technology, so if he wants to sneak around, eating p's and dishing out the preacher's special like false promises around election time... don't use social media, text messages or email ... go old school and meet in person to talk nasty... go to goodmans bay like the rest of us ...hell .. write a note even...

I missed the part where he said it wasn't him...but something has to be done about privacy concerns in this country.
