POLICE believe they have solved two of this year’s murders when they brought a juvenile and a 20-year-old to Magistrates Court on Tuesday to be arraigned in connection with the deaths.

In the first of two arraignments before Magistrate Saboula Swain of court No 11, a 17-year-old of Jupiter Avenue Star Estates was charged with murder in the March 8 killing of James Dolce.

Dolce was reportedly riding his bicycle in the area of Milton Street when a man armed with a handgun opened fire and killed him before fleeing the scene on foot.

Police found the 19-year-old with gunshot wounds in his shoulder, side and head after responding to reports about a shooting.

Two juveniles and 22-year-old Deangelo Johnson, of Milton Street, have already been arraigned in connection with the killing.

None of the defendants has been required to enter a plea to the charge.

The case is to be fast-tracked to the Supreme Court for trial through service of a Voluntary Bill of Indictment.

In the second arraignment, 20-year-old Shervin Munnings, of Montel Heights, was charged in connection with the April 17 murder of Rashan Sumner and the attempted murder of Nestley Tilme.

On the night in question, in the Millennium Gardens Subdivision, the pair were shot when they were delivering food to a woman. Sumner died of his injuries.

Munnings was also not required to enter a plea to the charges and joins, on remand, 25-year-old Dave Miller of Key West Street, who was previously charged in connection with the shooting.
