PARTY chairman Darron Cash has accused DNA leader Branville McCartney of using the FNM’s “current unfortunate situations” to remain “relevant” and warned him to “stay out of the FNM’s business”.

Speaking to The Tribune yesterday, Mr Cash said it is obvious that Mr McCartney misses being in the FNM because he “can’t seem to stop talking about us”.

“Tell Branville McCartney, who is working desperately to remain relevant, to stay out of FNM business. If he wanted to be involved he would have had the courage to stay in the FNM and fight for the things he believed in like anyone who wants to be prime minister of the Bahamas should do,” the FNM chairman said.

“With respect to John Bostwick, the leader of the FNM, who is the leader of the official opposition, will in his time decide what course of action is necessary. I also want to make it clear that I am extremely confident that John Bostwick doesn’t need Branville McCartney or even the leader of the opposition to advise him on what he ought to do.

“With respect to my own matter, I have no comment on my wife’s position and I want to say to Mr McCartney I don’t march to his drum beat. I will say what I need to say when I am ready to say it and I want to make it abundantly clear I still have plenty to say.”

On Tuesday, Mr McCartney criticised Mr Cash for his “silence” since leaving court. Earlier this month, police officers seized two laptops and a smart phone belonging to Mr Cash during a search of his home. Mr Cash’s lawyer Carl Bethel later filed a constitutional motion in the Supreme Court arguing that his clients rights had been violated. However last week Mr Bethel said the parties involved reached an “amicable” agreement on the matter.

“No one has heard from Darron Cash since then,” Mr McCartney said. “After all the evidence, they claim that had, after all the noise they made, now nothing. All (his) equipment is (presumably) still with the police and his wife (reportedly) been put on leave. The chairman and the party gave everyone the impression that the government was setting them up and going after him and his family, but now he is quiet.”

So.... you have the freedom of speech to ''I will say what I need to say when I am ready to say it and I want to make it abundantly clear I still have plenty to say.”...... but Bran doesn't?

Mr Cash....... you are representing a party of candidates who wish to hold PUBLIC OFFICES here in the Commonwealth of the Bahamas. As a result, all matters relevant to you and your party's campaign to govern the country should be made PUBLIC aswell. If you wish to hold public office, then all of your actions related to the Opposition must be known to the public. You can't just conveniently ask a political rival to "mind his own business" whenever he makes a valid point! Furthermore, Brandville is right. Darron Cash created this hysteria by going PUBLIC with his claims of an illegal police raid. Now he's attempting to "fade into black" as it is revealed that his wife may have compromised banking laws pending an investigation. "Stay out of FNM business" seems to be a convenient way out for you, doesn't it? But let me tell you... it doesn't work that way Mr Cash. Both you and John Bostwick have become careless, and allowed yourselves to fall victim to mistakes that the PLP can use to destroy what little credibility is left in the FNM.

'Tis no wonder the reasoning behind PM Christie assigning a taxpayers chauffeur to the red opposition leader, but no car and no office. What he need a officialism car, with police side riders for anyways? Comrade Stillwaters would you care to examine how this "clown-like" red shirts bunch is using-up they precious Freedom of Speech License? PM Christie might as well snatch even that away from them too and give Comrade "Super Value" Rupert a chance see what he can do with it as the new DNA leader..

If these are the red shirts headlines in today's Tribune, we can't wait read what tomorrow will bring from these political clowns?

Former DPM Says The Foreign Minister Is 'Anti-American': Cash Tells DNA To Stay Out Of FNM Business: FNM Deputy - Stop Giving Concessions To Foreigners:

For even though Minnis's red shirts can be considered as being Her Majesty's Official Opposition Party but only cause it won 9 more House seats than did Bran's DNA, and has nothing to do with their performance the past 2 years. In fact, they even lost they Papa's Cooper's Town House seat to PM Christie. Just maybe. Her Majesty been wondering, who in the hell was it that told Minnis, Daron and Loretta that it was their role was to become the most negative opposition party in all we Bahamaland's political party history?

The FNM would have come out of the Darron Cash matter much stronger had they not cut a deal with Bank of The Bahamas (BOB) which, as a bank majority owned by government, is controlled for all intents and purposes by Perry Christie as both PM and Minister of Finance. It seems all of the PLP's major skeletons (and some of the FNM's skeletons) are buried at BOB and it's likely the leadership of the FNM has now agreed to discontinue pressing BOB on its purported corrupt lending practises allegedly involving past and present MPs, Senators, their family members and their business cronies. By giving Perry the upper hand at the expense of vigorously pursuing the purported treasure trove of corruption at BOB, the leadership of the FNM appears to have thrown away a golden political opportunity for the cheap price of having the door closed on the Cash matter. What a shame, especially as Cash's political wings are now clipped forever in the eyes of most voters. What a shame!

Pretty silly statement by Cash...The FNM is ALL about the PLP's business and vice versa, DNA is no different. Just because some in the FNM have their noses out of joint over Bran, just makes them look even more silly when they say stuff like this. Regardless of which political party it is...if you are throwing yourself out there as a public SERVANT, representing the people, expect to have someone 'in your business'...that's the way it works.

DARRON CASH ................... if you want to make a difference in your party... please instruct the FNM Executive to set a date for the Convention, open up the party to all and sundry, shake up the leadership and then start planning for 2017............... stop talking BS and do something ............................ the clock is ticking.

If you cant do that.................... do the honorable thing and QUIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Let us not all ignore Bran's hypocrisy. Bran ran Delano Munroe in MICAL while he was charged with stealing....

Comrade Brent I begs of you, don't mix your political future up with these circus clowns. How can red shirts supporters have turned out on Mackey Street, after being told that senior policeman's abused the constitution of we Bahamaland when they raided their Chairman's residence, grabbing he computer from he tightly clasped hands, as he stood there, while he children watched on. How can you continue to cheer, scream and clap to encourage the absolute nonsense of these red shirt clowns? The Daron with the always big mouth has suddenly turned constitutionally silent. Please, don't support these clowns.

Darron Cash should put his arrogance aside and utilize the power of numbers to put this over zealous, run away government on a leash. ALL BAHAMIANS need to stand together as citizens and not politicians and ensure that their rights are not violated and trampled on by this government. The green and red shirts can stay in a closet or drawer a little longer while we stand firm to protect the aqua marine, black and gold!

Sorry Mr Cash, he us a private citizen and he can comment on any topical issue in the country. You can always refute what he says, but he has a right to say it. Just as Mr Davis has a right to continue to make irresponsible statements.
