Man robbed while waiting at bus stop

GRAND Bahama Police are investigating an armed robbery on Pioneer’s Way on Tuesday.

According to reports, shortly after 2pm a man was at a bus stop on Pioneers Way when he was approached and robbed by another man.

The culprit is about 5ft 6in, of medium complexion with tattoos on both hands and face and afro-style hair. He was wearing a brown camouflage shirt and pants, beige tam and spoke with a Bahamian accent.

Police are appealing to anyone with information that can assist them to call 350-3107/8, 911/919 or the nearest police station.

• An American man, who was killed in a boating accident in Bimini on Sunday, has been identified as 26-year-old Poloma De Mazieres of Florida.

• 20-year-old Ashton Tueshea Alcegaire, of 4 Dog Fish Street, Caravel Beach Subdivision, and also of Moore’s Island, Abaco, is wanted by police in Grand Bahama in connection with an investigation into an armed robbery and grievous harm incident.

Alcegaire is 5’8” tall, 145 pounds, of medium build with a brown complexion and low haircut. Police want to question him.

He is considered armed and extremely dangerous and should be approached with caution.
