SOFTBALL

BAISS PLAYOFFS

THE Bahamas Association of Independent Secondary Schools is scheduled to complete its regular season for softball starting at 4pm today and on Tuesday at the various schools that have to play make-up games,

Following the completion of those games, the BAISS is slated to start its best-of-three playoffs on Wednesday at Freedom Farm. Game two in each of the four divisions will be played on Thursday. If necessary, any game three will be played on Friday. The championship series is then set to start on Monday at the same venue.

BSC SOFTBALL

THE Baptist Sports Council’s 2014 Coca-Cola Softball Classic is scheduled to begin Tuesday night at the Banker’s Field at the Baillou Hills Sporting Complex with a double header on tap. In the 7pm opener, St John’s will play defending champions Golden Gates (Co-ed) and at 8pm, Golden Gates will play defending champions St Paul’s (M). The action continues on Thursday. In the 7pm opener, Macedonia will play St Paul’s (Co-ed) and at 8pm, St John’s will play Macedonia (M).

BSC TRACK MEET

THE Baptist Sports Council postponed its 2014 Track and Field Classic on Saturday until Saturday, November 16 at the Thomas A Robinson Track and Field because churches did not make the required deadline to register. The BSC will make one last attempt to put on the meet, but it is mandatory that all teams must be registered by Friday, November 8. Interested churches are required to submit their team rosters to either stubbobs@gmail.com, seek_ye_first@hotmail.com or joniquewebb@hotmail.com. The meet is sponsored by Rubis Oil and Buttons Formal Wear.
