PLP Chairman Bradley Roberts expects to get a report from a disciplinary committee appointed to look into the actions of Fort Charlotte MP Dr Andre Rollins on November 18 at the next PLP general council meeting.

PLP officials yesterday were tightlipped on the contents of the report yesterday, but it is believed it will contain the committee’s recommendation relating to disciplinary action against Dr Rollins.

The final hearing into Dr Rollins’ matter was held last Thursday.

PLP stalwart councillor Valentine Grimes, who heads the committee, told The Tribune last week that the group’s deliberations into the matter are expected to be completed by the end of this week.

Yesterday, when contacted, he declined to comment any further on the matter.

Dr Rollins faces a possible two-year suspension from the party. He could also be denied a nomination in the 2017 general election or be reprimanded by the PLP’s National General Council based on the committee’s report.

The former Gaming Board chairman’s place in the party hangs in the balance after he repeatedly criticised Prime Minister Perry Christie and his administration this summer.

He has refused to apologise for his statements.
