Dr Minnis gets a warm welcome in Grand Bahama

FNM 2014 convention delegates, including meritorious council members and supporters on the island of Grand Bahama, turned out in large numbers to greet party Leader Dr Hubert A Minnis during a one day visit to that island on Saturday.

Dr Minnis was accompanied by Kendal Culmer, meritorious council member, founding member of the FNM Torch Bearer’s Association (TBA), and former president Ronique Brown, incumbent TBA president, Carolyn Hanna, spiritual advisor and other supporters.

Following his arrival, Dr Minnis hosted delegates and supporters to a breakfast meeting held at Geneva’s Restaurant where the group engaged in discussion and exchange of ideas.

The highlight of the evening was a standing room only meeting held by the FNM Grand Bahama Council at FNM Headquarters at which Dr Minnis was the guest speaker.

Founding father of the FNM, Maurice Moore praised Dr Minnis for his “generosity of purpose and commitment to serve.”

A social hosted by the FNM Grand Bahama Women’s Association followed the meeting. The visit culminated in a second social held at the Grand Gallery at Our Lucaya Hotel.

The FNM will hold a one-day convention at Holy Trinity Activity Centre on November 21.

FNM Deputy Leader Loretta Butler-Turner has said she will challenge Dr Minnis for his post at the event.
