Three in hospital after shootings, stabbing

POLICE are currently investigating two shootings and one stabbing incident over the weekend that have left two men in stable condition and another man in serious condition in hospital.

A man was shot shortly after 10pm on Saturday while walking on Key West Street. Police said that a man in a white Suzuki Swift vehicle, armed with a handgun, approached the victim and shot him in the arm and chest before speeding off.

The victim was taken to hospital, where he is detained in serious condition.

The second shooting took place shortly after 1am on Sunday.

According to police, the victim and another man were driving in the victim’s Honda on Wulff Road when they heard the sound of a gunshot. The victim then realised he had been shot in his lower back. He was taken to hospital, where he is detained in stable condition.

Police also reported that a man was stabbed on Saturday shortly before 6:30pm.

The victim was at an eatery on Soldier Road when a man asked him for money, police were told. When the victim refused he was stabbed in his side by the assailant, who then fled on foot.
