THE Anglican Diocesan Youth Department hosted its 9th Annual Track Classic at the Thomas A Robinson Stadium of the Queen Elizabeth Sports Centre over the weekend. Holy Trinity Anglican Church claimed the 2014 championship after a spirited competition between the parishes. This year, the event was held in honour of Alpheus “Hawk” Finlayson, a pre-eminent track and field historian, journalist, promoter and administrator in the Central American and Caribbean region and a faithful member of St George’s Parish. The festivities also included a cultural display, banner contest and battle of the bands competition.
