Counting down to jollification

THE Bahamas National Trust’s (BNT) annual Christmas Jollification will open to the public at the weekend.

The event, on Saturday and Sunday, features some of the finest arts and crafts in the Bahamas, a variety of food and a tasting of holiday spirits provided by Bristol Wines and Spirits and Bahamian Brewery.

The BNT has partnered with Caribbean Bottling and Schweppes to offer a special membership promotion. New members who join the BNT on the Friday night ‘members evening’ will receive a special Tervis Tumbler.

The Jollification features over 75 talented artisans who will have crafts, jewelry, artwork and gift items on sale. The ‘Jolly Market’ will offer an array of home made jams and jellies, cakes, jewelry, hand painted tiles and wonderful straw designs from a number of artisans. The event will also offer a special area where plants will be on sale.

Children will also be catered to at this year’s event at a holiday crafts area, which will feature nature oriented games and activities.

No one goes hungry at the Jollification and this year features a variety of chefs who will be preparing Bahamian and international cuisine.

The event runs from 11am to 5pm at the BNT Retreat on Village Road. Admission is $5 for BNT Members and $10 for the general public.
