Baha Mar launches 'recruitment nation'

Baha Mar yesterday launched its new employee recruitment advertising campaign, entitled: ‘Baha Mar Nation’.

Over the past two years, the $3.5 billion luxury resort has been locating and recruiting the best and brightest Bahamians, both in the Bahamas and abroad, resulting in outreach to more than 10,000 students and professionals.

Leading up to Baha Mar’s Grand Opening celebration, scheduled for late Spring 2015, the resort is ramping up its efforts to find team members from diverse backgrounds with an aptitude for hospitality.

The new campaign, produced locally, features Baha Mar employees in various hospitality roles that demonstrate the values of Baha Mar team members, also called ‘Baha Mar Citizens’.

“Baha Mar Nation communicates what we believe at Baha Mar. Caring deeply for our guests and each other, paying attention to detail and thriving as part of a team are values that make Baha Mar a great place to work,” said Kristin Wells, director of the Baha Mar Academy, the developer’s training and recruitment arm.

“This message will make a connection with Bahamians who also share those values.”

The Baha Mar Nation campaign will be carried across television, newspaper, radio and interactive media.

“No matter where you are in the world, it’s not very often that a transformative project like Baha Mar comes around. We are proud that we are a key part of creating opportunities for so many Bahamians to create better futures for themselves and their families,” said Paul V. Pusateri, Baha Mar’s chief operating officer.
