Salvation Army given $10,000 by AML Foods

THE Salvation Army’s annual Christmas Kettle Drive got off to a good start this week with a $10,000 donation from AML Foods Ltd.

Renea Knowles, VP of Marketing and Communications, said: “Every year through our Gifts for Good programme we seek to do our part and come to the aid of persons in need in the communities that we operate in. Recognising that every year the Kettle Drive helps countless individuals and families at Christmas, as well as throughout the year, we decided to launch this year’s Gifts for Good programme with a donation to the Salvation Army in Nassau and Freeport.

“The Kettle Drive has been giving hope to many in the Bahamas since 1931 and AML Foods - through our brands Solomon’s, Solomon’s Fresh Market, Cost Right Wholesale Club, Domino’s Pizza and Carl’s Jr - feel it is important to support this worthy cause. We feel proud that we are able to help provide groceries and other basic needs along with Christmas gifts for the less fortunate, and encourage other corporate sponsors to support their efforts to bring joy this holiday season.”
