BASKETBALL

COMETS SUCCESS

AS the Bahamas Association of Independent Secondary Schools continued its regular season, the Queen’s College Comets had some success in all four divisions.

Here’s a look at the some of their results:

QC Senior Girls

QC def. Aquinas 47-7

QC def. Temple Christian 31-5

QC Junior Boys

QC def. Temple Christian 37-32

QC Junior Girls

QC def. NCA 48-7.

The BAISS is slated to continue its regular season this week at various high schools, starting at 4pm. This will be the last week of regular season play before the BAISS takes a break for the Christmas holiday.

CEREMONY

HALL OF FAME

THE Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture is scheduled to host its National Sports Heritage Week and Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony December 7-12. The week will kick off with a service at Bethel Baptist Church, Meeting Street, 7:45am Sunday, December 7.

The list of inductees will participate in a series of activities during the week, including a visit of the HMBS Sir Durward Knowles ship at the Royal Bahamas Defence Force, a courtesy call at Government House and a luncheon at the Thomas A Robinson National Stadium. The induction ceremony will take place at Government House.

AFTER taking a short break over the weekend, the New Providence Basketball Association is scheduled to be back in action this week at the AF Adderley Gymnasium.

THE Government Secondary Schools Sports Association is slated to play its final week of the basketball regular season this week, starting 4pm today before they take a break for the Christmas holiday. Games will be played at CI Gibson, DW Davis and AF Adderley Gymnasiums.
