A 36-year-old man is in serious condition in hospital after he was shot several times during an argument at his neighbour’s Pineyard Road home Thursday night.

According to reports, around 8pm the victim went to his neighbour’s house, where he got into an argument with another man, but decided to walk away. As he was leaving the yard, the suspect produced a hand gun and fired several shots at him, hitting him in his leg and buttocks.

The victim was taken in a private vehicle to hospital, where he is listed in serious, but stable condition. Investigations continue.

Police are asking for the public’s help in solving an armed robbery that took place off Carmichael Road. According to reports, a 33-year-old woman of McKinney Drive was sitting in her Honda Civic in front of a residence on that road when two men pulled up in a Honda CRV.

One of the men, armed with a handgun, got out of the Honda CRV and robbed the woman of her vehicle, while the other man drove off. Anyone with information on these incidents is asked to contact police at 911 or 919, the Central Detective Unit at 502-9991 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 328-TIPS.
