TWO Bahamian men have been charged in Abaco for assisting in the illegal landing of some 20 illegal Haitians on the island this week.
George Stuart, 55, of Marsh Harbour, and Anderson Davis, 59, of Moore’s Island appeared before Magistrate Ancella Evans.
It is alleged that on October 4, the men assisted a group of 34 illegal Haitians who were discovered walking on Ernest Dean Highway. Both pleaded not guilty to the charge and were each granted $3,000 bail with one surety.
The case was adjourned to March 3, 2015, for trial.
