Ammunition found at home in Freeport

A 34-year-old male resident of Freeport was arrested by police after .9mm ammunition was allegedly found at his residence Thursday night.

According to reports, officers of the Eastern Division, acting on a tip, executed a search warrant around 11pm on a house in the Coral Reef area, where they allegedly discovered a brown Luger .9mm box that contained 25 .9mm live rounds of ammunition.

A male occupant of the house was arrested and taken into custody. Investigations are continuing.
