THE Sandals Foundation and Coca-Cola’s “Vibes On The Island” returns for another fundraiser in aid of PACE’s (Providing Access to Continued Education) building fund.

On October 25, the Sandals Foundation and Coca-Cola, for the second year, are hosting the hottest party in the Caribbean at Sandals Royal Bahamian Spa Resort’s private island.

The event will feature performances by internationally acclaimed reggae recording artist Tarrus Riley and up-and-coming reggae sensation Chronixx with his band ZincFence redemption.

All proceeds from the ticket sales will go to the PACE Foundation, which provides education and support to adolescent mothers. The PACE Foundation also promotes awareness to help reduce teen pregnancy.

Heidi Clarke, director of programmes of the Sandals Foundation said: “Attendees gave rave reviews of last year’s concert which starred Grammy Award winning artist Shaggy. Attendees and valued sponsors helped the Sandals Foundation raise $76,500 which enabled the PACE Foundation to begin its building project in earnest. The ultimate goal of the fundraiser is to ensure that young mothers in need of a safe space will have access to a support centre that will accommodate administrative, health care, nursery and academic services.”

The proceeds from this year’s concert will bring PACE’s new building to completion, and allow for the programme to finally have its own place to call home. The Sandals Foundation made a commitment in 2012 to help see this through.
