Teen stabbed

A 15-year-old boy has been airlifted to a hospital in New Providence following a stabbing incident in Abaco on Tuesday.

The teen was playing basketball in the shanty town, The Mud, around 6pm when he was stabbed with a knife in the chest by another male, the police said.

According to Inspector Terecita Pinder, the victim was taken to the Marsh Harbour Clinic where he was treated for his injuries. She said he was later flown to New Providence for further medical treatment.

Police in Abaco are searching for the suspect.

Ammunition found

In Grand Bahama on Tuesday, the police discovered a quantity of ammunition in the South Bahamia area.

Inspector Pinder said sometime around 8pm on Tuesday police, acting on information, went to an area on Brently Drive where they discovered 17 rounds of .357 ammunition and one round of .40 ammunition, in addition to a speedloader. Investigations are continuing.
