A WOMAN awaiting trial for more than two dozen fraud related charges was back in Magistrate’s Court yesterday accused of more crimes.
Malissa Michelle Connolly, 34, of Sea Breeze Drive, pleaded not guilty to the two counts each of possession of a forged document, uttering a forged document and fraud by false pretences alleged to have been committed on July 2.
It is alleged that she possessed and used forged bank cheques, drawn on two accounts at Bahamas First General Insurance, to obtain $4,292 from the Wulff Road and Prince Charles Drive branches of Commonwealth Bank.
In September, Connolly pleaded not guilty to 27 charges of possession of a forged document, uttering a forged document, fraud by false pretences, attempted fraud by false pretences and conspiracy to commit fraud by false pretences.
Prosecutors alleged that she committed the crimes between June 30 and August 15 and obtain more than $12,000, but was unsuccessful in an attempt to obtain another $5,000 under false pretences.
Magistrate Samuel McKinney remanded her to Her Majesty’s Prison until her next court appearance on November 7.
